Wondering if there is anyone that managed to operate their Squeezebox
using the Comcast DVR universal remote.
There is an AUX button and any number of codes that can be programmed
into that button.

Strange, I'm running 128bit WEP on my SB with the latest firmware with
no issues.
1 thing spings to mind. I use static I.P.s for my player and server.

downgraded the slimserver to many versions, last one was 6.5.0. then i
found out about the mac address conflict, changed it, and it was
perfect. Next day i upgraded the slimserver to 6.5.1 again. That messed

Similar problem here: My playlists are properly saved in a file on my PC
and when I open them with a text reader (Notepad), I see the songs
listed. But Slimserver thinks they're empty (all of them). Please
help. I already deleted some of my playlists thinking they had been

In case you missed it in the release notes, Slimserver 6.5.1 fixes bug
4131. This makes it run as a Win32:Process instead of a Win32:Service.
This allows a mapped network drive (such as a NAS) to contain the
library.
This is cool!

b/c it has a lot of strange behaviors in how it handles and calculates
tags.

Folder. Just point to them and you can add them to your playlist
immediately.

It does take a while for e-mails to go from server to server, and it
also takes a while for the e-mail to be
granted, it isn't directly related. however, the server code already
waits until the port is set to listen, so perhaps there is some
indirect correlation in the code affected by this patch that would
cause some systems to delay even though the port is 'listening'.

Is there a way to customize the search results info screen?
I have quite a lot of songs in different versions, and it would be very
convenient to see the artist in the same screen as the title results.
E.g. search for April in Paris returns three matches, I would like to
see which is Ella

Hi, I'm using WIndows Vista 64-bit Ultimate (clean install onto a new
partition).
No virtus checker. I first used 6.5_v2007-01-15 (because this is what
my XP partition was running) then 6.5_v2007-02-16.

I have down rated to mp3 on the kitchen player because I have gone
wireless while I am working on it (the kitchen). The one in the
bathroom is doing the same and that hasnt been changed at all. I have
tried what you gave suggested and the kitchen box is conking out after
40 seconds. The salon
Check out bug 4544. SD is now able to reproduce this problem and I
think that they are going to try to fix it in 6.5.2. Meanwhile, you
can go back to 6.3.1 and get rid of the problem.

I finally set up my SB3 on my new Vista PC. It had been running
perfectly on my laptop with XP. When it finally started, it's only
playing through one channel. I know it's not the stereo since CDs play
through both channels.
Anyone know a solution to this?

Swap the cables coming out of your squeezebox.
I just bought and used Coverscout in order to see cover art via
Slimserver on my Safari Browser. Though it worked in restoring my
ability to view cover art of my music selection I've found a unwanted
result. When I look at New Music Slimserver is now designating some

i actually think u'd be fine with 6.5.2
its the first build of SS that i actually don't mind using, and the
bugs for me are finally getting smaller. the only issue i can think of
right now is for some folks, the slimtray.exe is growing handles for no
reason... but thats a minor concern.
