[slim] Firmare Update??

2009-03-10 Thread joz
Hi guys I updated to the latest SqueezeCenter, I suppose because of the prompt. Well now my player is still at version 113 and it isn't recognised by the latest version 3.7 of SqueezeCenter. What can I do???It was working perfectly and i was happy. Now I have no tunes and am miserable. So

Re: [slim] Anyway to get an SB1 to work with 24bit FLAC?

2009-03-10 Thread Mick Seymour
It seems SC only transcodes based on sample rate so if the files sample rate is 44.1k and the player is capable of playing 44.1k no transcoding takes place. I had a similar problem with SoftSqueeze as it can play 44.1k sample rate files but not any bit rate higher than 16. SC ignores this

2009-03-10 Thread Mick Seymour
If you are on 113, that implies an SB3. From memory, you need to hold down the remote's brightness button to force the SB3 to update its firmware. BTW, 3.7 is the SoftSqueeze version number not SqueezeCenter. -- Mick Seymour

Interesting. The player -should- update. Can you use the browser to look at SqueezeCenter? I'm just trying to establish that SC is running. Does the SB3 connect to SqueezeCenter any more? If not, what is it telling you. If it does, what happens when you try to play music? Just to be sure, do

If you're worried about ground loops, use either Transporter's BNC or optical input. The BNC is floating, and is transformer isolated so it can't make a loop. The optical, of course, is optically isolated. I don't follow what you're saying about the SCART connector. It is normal to measure
