Hi guys I updated to the latest SqueezeCenter, I suppose because of the
prompt.
Well now my player is still at version 113 and it isn't recognised by
the latest version 3.7 of SqueezeCenter.
What can I do???It was working perfectly and i was happy.
Now I have no tunes and am miserable.
So
It seems SC only transcodes based on sample rate so if the files sample
rate is 44.1k and the player is capable of playing 44.1k no transcoding
takes place.
I had a similar problem with SoftSqueeze as it can play 44.1k sample
rate files but not any bit rate higher than 16. SC ignores this
If you are on 113, that implies an SB3. From memory, you need to hold
down the remote's brightness button to force the SB3 to update its
firmware.
BTW, 3.7 is the SoftSqueeze version number not SqueezeCenter.

Interesting. The player -should- update.
Can you use the browser to look at SqueezeCenter? I'm just trying to
establish that SC is running.
Does the SB3 connect to SqueezeCenter any more? If not, what is it
telling you. If it does, what happens when you try to play music?
Just to be sure, do
You might want to try the latest nightly version of 7.4. I installed
that last weekend and all SBs were prompted to update by pressing and
holding the brightness button.
All went smoothly and the latest nightly seems very stable.

You have quite a few options. You could:
1) As suggested by several users above, use XLD. Here is a guide for
XLD: http://jungle.sk/XLD_Tutorial/
2) Continue to use EAC in Windows with BootCamp (I am not too sure if a
virtualized solution like Parallels, VMWare Fusion or VirtualBox will

Quite often when using the Controller I am playing an album and then
decide that I want to immediately play a different album. So, I start

If you're worried about ground loops, use either Transporter's BNC or
optical input. The BNC is floating, and is transformer isolated so it
can't make a loop. The optical, of course, is optically isolated.
I don't follow what you're saying about the SCART connector. It is
normal to measure
That looks like it should work (changing softsqueeze to squeezebox1). I
don't think the 'D:{RESAMPLE=-r %d}' in my example is required as it
isn't used but I left it in, things worked, and I have not touched it

As you may all be aware the poor old GBP has taken a beating lately, in

So the pricing in UK doesnt seem quite so bad by comparison at the

I seem to remember the ability to set squeezecenter to auto rescan the

be an auto function. Please advise and thank you.
