I had a similar problem, and assumed it was on my end. I also (a the same time), had issues with the remote controlling the SB3. I had unplug (not just power off with the remote) the SB3, wait a few seconds, and plug it back in. Once I did that, all started working again. Rudimentary fix,

Also Google for any test showing that jitter actually makes an audible difference. You probably won't find anything. The posts above say it all; yes you can get a bit perfect copy from CD to DAC using a squeezebox and good ripping software to rip the CDs to flac. No need for an expensive CD
