I have Squeezecenter and Squeezeplay loaded on my very modest laptop for
when I'm travelling. I find that even in Hong Kong I can access my
Napster account and get full functions from BBC iPlayer. I don't worry
about storing music on the hard drive as Napster provides all I need.

this sucks - the drifting effect i described in my first post is also
still there.
but once again, it seems that this only happens on vorbis files. when
an MP3 comes along in the playlist, the players sync up perfectly. then,
after 2-3 subsequent vorbis tracks, it starts drifting once

Audio scrubbing was a poorly implemented idea and I'm glad it's long
gone. Anyone who wants to try and implement audio-based scrubbing will
soon realize why it was removed: it's an absolute nightmare to get right

had dropped it years ago onto a hard floor and it had been a bit
sensitive to small bumps since then (often needing a squeeze or two).
