When I power up my boom, it kicks my classic off the server. The Classic
only says; can't connect to server.
If I pull the plug on the Boom, my Classic connects again?
Anybody have a solution for this problem?

Then it must be the MAC address of the Boom that has somehow been cloned
onto the Classic - check against the printed labels on the underside
against what is stored in the device - make sure they tally. There is a
rare bug that causes this to happen (usually on the Classic)

If the IP addresses are different and the MAC address are different, I
would probably start by
The classic has a static ip 10.0.0.50
The boom has dynamic and got 10.0.0.103
The server is 10.0.0.10
The gateway is 10.0.0.1

Don't both the Controller and iPeng make use of caching in that they ask
the server for long lists, such as all albums when browsing albums?
That may partly explain the slowness.

Are you using DHCP? If so, make sure you don't give out addresses that

Usually you can designate the address range

Remove all the [extra] 0s and the level will now be 1/256 with no loss

In the attached thread, P Dixon explains that 1/256 or multiples are
used down to -30db. In the old 40 step volume days (2005) he had to
argue with Sean Dean to get it corrected to be this way). Further
volume reduction after that bit resolution accuracy is compromised.

Another workaround is the Fuzzy Time plugin, which allows you to set the
Date and Time screensaver to shift back and forth across the screen,
thus spreading the wear on the pixels more evenly. A combination of
Fuzzy Time and lower brightness when off and/or idle would be doubly
effective.

Wow, that is huge.
Way back when I was in an internet music company, we ripped 10,000 CDs
