even with the revo? can xbmc on win 7 offload video processing to the GPU, think this was the issue i read. I have no doubt that a win 7 machine with lots of cpu power and mem would cope but unless xbmc on win 7 on the revo can offload the processing power to the gpu you wont be playing 1080

Also we need master volume vs player volume . Syncing volume means that each player gets the exact same numerical value for volume this is probably the most wrong setting you can have. This only works if you gain stage and calibrate all your sb's/stereos to your boom's typical level ;)

Mnyb/Phil/bpa, Thanks heaps for all the suggestions. I have a nasty feeling that mnyb may be onto something with the 48kHz crystal. I do recall Wayne (Bolder) advising that the mods may impact on the ability of the SB2 to play (some) radio stations but I'm almost certain he said nothing about it
