Hi, seems to me we are working on very similar projects...
I've builded up a PERL/JAVA application to grab info and tags from
music files, musicbrainz and other services on the web, store it on a
DB , then organize and browse the entire collection and feed SBS (I'm
using WAV and CUE files, but is
Both have the love and ban feature but only iPeng has dedicated buttons
for it, in SqueezePad you have to go through the context menu.
Both work with MySB.

I have two Squeezeboxes which I believe are SB3s. One of these acts as
a wired to wireless bridge between the wired LAN that has the NAS
running Squeezebox Server on it and the wireless LAN with the other
squeezeboxes.

Thanks to everybody for help !
My old SB3 is still listed in mysquezebox.com and i found the setting
under:
players - squezeebox - audio - Preamp Volume Control set to 63, so the
analogue output are muted.
Set it to 0 and everything is OK :)

well, its all new so i think there is but i don't know all the details
yet. i'll report back when i know more.
its not just a safety/neighborhood watch app, but its hard to describe
what it is beyond that. its local civic awareness too, like report a
leaky fire hydrant or pothole, but more than
