I have no test. I was trying to help you find information that would
help you solve your problem.
I have never used mp3tag to batch remove embedded cover art. I've just
done it manually, a folder at a time:

Is Squeezey still developed? Thought the author now works for pippin.
Tried it myself and cannot make it work either.
Given the amount of changes I had to put into SqueezePad to get it
properly working with 7.6, probabilities are high, that indeed the
server version breaks Squeezey compatibility
you can turn on proxied streaming so that the stream always goes thru
the server, then it will die natarally when you turn of the server.

Ralphy,
I've been attempting to use the ASIO version of Squeezeslave 1.1-253
with a Thinkpad X41 connected to the Aynchronous USB DAC of an Audiolab
8200CDQ. All works well apart from the redirection of the audio signal
to the DAC. The ASIO plugin recognises it (I've used it successfully

Thanks for the info. It really isn't a problem I just thought it was
unusual as I had thought the radio broadcasts were transmitting after
the computer shut down because of some kind of buffer in the Squeezebox

Seems I'm the only one using the Wimp app... I guess Wimp is not a big
success on Squeezebox then...
But no wonder. The Wimp app is frigging stupid (pardon my French :)).
If I search a bunch of tracks, how do I play all of them without
manually adding each one after the other to the playlist.
I have an SB3 (AKA classic) with a screen that no longer functions.
I've continued to use it for the last few years but recently, after
replacing a router, I've been unable to see it on my network.
I've no experience with Robin's UDAP so I'm wondering if it is possible
to use it to configure my

I have reclaimed VAST areas of storage. And a lucky camper or two has
gotten some great deals on thousands of slightly used jewel cases.
Win - win :)

Oops! That's much better and now I fully understand. Great job.
Although I have a quite a bit less CDs than you (just under 3k) after I
finished replacing the jewel cases with thin plastic sleeves I still
Thanks guys, I'll investigate suggestions these next couple of days and

Just letting you know that there is a beta version of MonkeySqueeze
which now communicates with LMS on NAS devices running linux.
If you wish to try it, visit the MonkeySqueeze Development forum and
look for Beta 110912. If you do try it could you provide feedback on
the same forum please.
I didn't have to use UDAP.
I also have a boom, so I placed the SB3 and the boom beside each other,
wired them both by ethernet and powered them up at the same time while
holding the '+' key on the SB3 remote.
Following the menus on the boom, my displayless SB3 responded and is
