Consider the used market , but wait a year or two the prices are very
high rigth now, would be lower when all but the enthusiast forgot the
squeezeboxes :-/

Yes, I'm missing that one myself, too, I used it a lot. However, it was
the single most confusing point in iPeng, there was a surprisingly high
number of users
How do you shuffle play an entire album? There's no shuffle mode when
adding tracks to the current play list.
If the volume is locked on a player (when using as a remote) please hide
the volume slider and move the transport controls down.
Please consider switching to larger transport buttons on

That's one thing I haven't tried. Surely it's broken, I'll fix it ASAP.
Thanks for letting me know.

I have currently five units on my network. Three Booms, 1 SB2, 1 SB3. I
have 1 Boom and 1 SB2 in storage. What SBs offer is still with no
alternatives on the market, IMHO.

It's all looking good so far. 1 little issue I've just noticed is that
occasionally I'll get the album art in artist view will be repeated for
the artist above. As in the 2 examples attached. Selecting the messed up
artist will show the correct artwork.

I would say that the chance of Logitech selling to anyone would also be

Yep modern AV receivers are very good, things happened in the latest
decade , the small signal processing is very good usually .
The remaining weakness ,that would cost money to fix is the relatively
weak power amps that don't work very well with all speakers .
And then it is the space issue ( not
I can not be sure but I would guess that the best option for sound
quality would be to use the RCA SPDIF digital out from the Squeezebox in
to one of the RCA digital inputs on the Denon AV Amp. This will mean
that the Denon will do all of the digital conversion and then send that
direct to the ou
Just a note that I think we've ironed out most of big issues with the
preview release. If you ran into crashes or other issues earlier on,
give it another shot now. We're focused on polishing up for a good,
stable 1.3.0 release now. Thanks everyone for your feedback.
The lastest software "update" made my Harmony 600 practically useless.

Apart from the SBs in use (one SB 3, one SB Boom, one SB Radio and one

Squeezebox product is dead since the manufacturer dropped it. If for
some reason my Touch (the SB in the main listening area) would die
premature then I st

You must compare for yourself, properly, to decide which DAC sounds best
to you. You may not hear much if any difference.
Set Touch volume to 100% then volume match output to speakers for each
input type for fair comparison.
To use Direct mode you must use a pair of full range speakers (can't b

I can see your point - I was naive enough to assume that they would have
used the pre ICS/JellyBean audio API with small modificati

Unfortunately Android before Jelly Bean does only support 16/44.
With Jelly-Bean there is a completely new AudioAPI, which I guess is
able to except higher audio rates - but I don't know yet, if it really
forwards everything to an USB Dac (and I'm afraid this even depends on
the particular device)

Hi there,
now that Android supports external USB DACs with JellyBean, would
SqueezePlayer also use that output? If so, would it support more than
16bi/44.1kHz? And if so, what would I need to do on both the
SqueezePlayer / Android site as well as the LMS site, as currently it is
only streaming 16
