But that should be easy to solve in SqueezeCommander, just switch to the Add mode first. Try that with the Logi App. Also, doesn't SqueezeCommander also have a party mode? This is a question of trade offs and I would not want an App that sacrifices my 95%-of-the-time use case with a nag-popup

Will there be any settings for customising the now playing screen in the future? Like making artwork bigger and narrative smaller etc/disabling swipe to lyrics screen etc. I prefer bigger artwork - I believe it was bigger on old ipeng.

Well, actually SqueezeCommander's UI is pretty much based on iPeng's UI, albeit on an older version. I believe what makes it more confusing is that iPeng is based on the iOS UI which goes against the common Android UI scheme in some cases, plus iPeng has tutorials for things like the play mode

SqueezePlayer right now does not support ReplayGain. So I'm wondering if the server - maybe while transcoding ? - applies replay gain. It's on my list of things to do, though it is unlikely that we'll see it still this year.

Glad things are better for you. Much of this is a learning curve for all of us. Many assume that canned programs like WMP will do what we want and then find out that it is not the case. I would also suggest using Winamp as a pc based audio player.
