Are there any switches between the router and kitchen? If so reboot them
and the router for that matter. They can retain the MAC address of the
device in memory and think it is somewhere (port wise) it no longer is.

Reboot the switch anyway. Even if it can connect the packets may not be
routing correctly.

Yes, there's a switch between the router and the kitchen. But
NEW FEATURES INCLUDE:
- BruteFIR mode to enable convolution filtering (eg. DRC) and
equalizer
- "Play from RAM" feature, minimize CPU load and disk access during
playback
- PCM to DSD conversion (some network streams don't work, eg.
Spotify)
- Non-DoP native DSD support for the DACs
Hi there,
I currently have a Touch, an SB3 and a Radio, and I'm looking to pick up
another Touch on eBay (basically, to replace the SB3 since Rhapsody no
longer works on SB3's). I'm curious what experiences folks here have
had in picking up used Squeeze devices on eBay. Anything to watch out
OK, finally got to the bottom of this.
Tried rebooting the switch - no change.
Tried removing the wireless card - no change.
So I got hold of a long ethernet cable and strung it through the house
from the switch to the kitchen - and the SB3 started working fine.
Ah! so it has to be the cable
I know what you mean. A raspi with DAC and picoreplayer is a cheaper and
in my view safer bet.
A used Touch is still a big investment with no guarantee that it will
work long term.

I see the point of buying used Radios or Booms off the bay of E. And
I've good experiences doing so. (No experience with ebay.com, though,
I've bought on ebay.de.)
But a Touch? I'd rather build one myself similar to this:
Google hifiberry and picoreplayer.
Hifiberry will sell you everything you need hardware wise to build a
small box that you plug in to your hifi in a similar way to a Touch.
Picoreplayer is the software you need to burn onto a micro SD card.
You don't need a screen after the initial build - 20

Seconded, maybe with the 7" touchscreen.
One thing to make sure with used SB's is that the
Please explain A raspi with DAC as simply as possible. What would I
need and how do you get internet radio from it. Can't you just use a
laptop instead?

Which server version is this?
Also, please check your file conversion settings to make sure ALAC can
be played natively.
If that's sure then if iPeng can't play the file I'd say it's corrupt.
iPeng plays ALAC natively and uses Apple's codec, I'd say that's a
reference.
That said... A very common
Hi,
since i have a huge experience with valid/unvalid files i can tell you
(no i am not audiophoolish) there is no real way to check that other
than your ears.
What you can do is:
- open vlc
- press [strg] [m]
- set verbosity to warning
- add a (smal) folder to the playlist
- play them

I purchased a Touch off ebay not too long ago. I think if you find a
seller that has good ratings and they say it's in good condition, you're
reasonably safe. I've been seeing them in the $200 and up range of late
although if/when you find a new one, they're much pricier.
Unfortunately, I
But it would not have to transcode for these players!

I can't reproduce this. Does it go away when you restart the App?
Is your main menu long enough so that you need to scroll it?

In this case it's not a safer bet - Rhapsody won't work on a raspi!
