Are they synced « manually » or are you using Group Players plugin?

I didnt realise your NUC was running Windows! It would be a lot faster
/ more stable if it was Linux.
Make sure your AV doesnt scan the NAS Mount

Another odd little problem. I'm going to assume this is not an encoding
problem and the files themselves play ok on other playback systems
without volume fluctuations.

No but you will be surprised to find how much you can get back when you
sell your old drives. This will be enough to take some of the pain
away... Hehe

Coincidentally, I have an unused DS1815+ that I just put into service
for the first time.
I have mounted the
No idea. But to diagnose Id first unsync the players and try one at a
time to see if this occurs on a single player. If it does not, Id synch
only one player at a time to see if that is the issue. The idea is that
perhaps it is one of the players causing the issue. Also, what is your
server and
I'd opt for a high grade NAS (raided) to store files but keep your NUC
as the server. Its easy to mount said NAS via NFS and you won't see any
performance loss at all.

Hi there everyone,
I've tried my best to research this issue and now resorting to brains
trust on the forum.
My volume is fluctuating during a given track. It's only subtle changes
but noticeable and quite annoying. Not a volume issue when changing
tracks which is well documented. Here is some

Couldn't agree more. Have been happily using the SB ecosystem since
2005. I recently hooked up one of my SB Touches to a pair of KEF LS50W
wireless speakers and I'm super thrilled.

Me too. I still use my Squeezeboxen every day so thanks to Sean, Dean,
Adrian, Bpa, Erland, Philippe, Michael and indeed everyone involved in
the original product, all who've added the great functionality and those
who've maintained it too. I really do owe you a lot. Very, very big
thanks.
