Best to connect with ethernet if you are using high res files but if
just normal flacs or mp3s wireless may work also. Laptop can be windows

Yes the Bandcamp model is ideal. I sense that the artists get a good
portion of the sale as opposed to the record company model where the
label grabs most of the sale price. I wish other download sites followed

Sb1,2,3s and even Touches are selling for quite reasonable prices on
EBay

You are right it is a crap shoot. I have bought 2 radios and 2 touches
and a long time ago a classic from Ebay and it all works without issue.
I guess look for sellers that have a return policy

It was a permissions issue. Never had that with downloaded zip files
before, but it is solved now by changing permissions for others to
access only in folder properties(running Ubuntu)
I downloaded an album of Joe Satriani from the web site 'Murfie's Music'
(https://www.murfie.com/) and put into my library but LMS refuses to
recognize the album or any songs in the album either under New Music,
Folders, or search. I have done several scans to no avail. I have never
had an album
It hasn't worked for over a month for me. Running Ubuntu 14.04 LMS 7.9

I found it useful to listen to music before buying it, which admittedly
I can do on my PC. It is nice to be able to use the stereo instead
though. Generally sound quality is not great so I used it sporadically.
It has been broken and fixed more times than I can count; YouTube keeps
making changes
There was
http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?87731-Announce-YouTube-Pluginhighlight=youtube
but I don't think it is currently maintained or working:(

There are threads about problems with the speakers on the Boom having
deteriorating rubber edges (there are kits you can get to replace the
rubber)

If I go to forums.slimdevices.com I get a message saying Squeezebox
Forums are taking a break...for maintenance
but I see people are still able to post. Anyone else notice this?

Thanks that worked.
BTW: you're posting, too?
I got in by going into my Firefox History and clicking on one of the old

with me. Is this a new feature? What does it do?
