It would not be difficult to set up with your laptop and SB3 either. Best to connect with ethernet if you are using high res files but if just normal flacs or mp3s wireless may work also. Laptop can be windows or a linux distro. Downloads for Logitech Media Server are here

I found it useful to listen to music before buying it, which admittedly I can do on my PC. It is nice to be able to use the stereo instead though. Generally sound quality is not great so I used it sporadically. It has been broken and fixed more times than I can count; YouTube keeps making changes
