I started years back with a Squeezebox v3, had several Receivers, a
Boom, a Radio and am stuck now with a Receiver and a 3rd party device
(from Sonore). I can't say, the system never failed me, but at least not
in the last 10 years. I'm happy to have a great system

It might well be, that the transcoding is done for streaming and the
meta data is not needed for this.

- connect the mR (microRendu) on one input of my DAC
- connect the Receiver on another input of my DAC
- sync the two

Transporter, a Sonore device might sound different than a Pi.

I still use Squeeze Commander. In opinion, it's the best so far. I have
tested Orange Squeeze, doesn't work for me, I don't understand the
concept. I also tested some others (not Squeeze Ctrl.), but Squeeze
Commander just covers all the features I need.

Talking about tweaking
For me, squeeze box and server where always used with my local music in
my flat only. So I don't need any integration into social media (don't
use them anyway) and for that matter, don't use any on-line service.
So if possible, the software should be as flexible as possible e.g. a
core module

anybody else has the some effect on the controller?
I do use squeezecenter 7.2 and jive r2873. So slimdevice testers, just
make a note and the next time you stumble over this problem, take some
10 minutes to investigate, don't spend more time as it's only a minor
problem.

Hi
Is it possible to configure the menu of my squeezebox controller? I
don't need some of the main menues and want to have some other menues
on the main level.
