Do you have a break in the audio stream when the message is shown? I do
not know anything about the underlying protokoll used by the SBs to
communicate with the server, but it could be time critical and,
different to the buffered streams, a short break can have an impact on
it.

I cannot connect to Napster or Shoutcast from SBS or mysb.com. Error
messages are Napster 504 Gateway Time-out and Shoutcast Unable to
parse SHOUTcast data.
Do anybody know the reason and if somebody is working on these issues?

I suppose it keep connected until the entire internal buffer RAM is

press the power button to send a WoL packet when the
SB3 shows the connectin to SC message.
To send a WoL packet when the SB is switched from SN to SC makes sense,
but it should not affect the current behavior when it is powered on.

The reason it works perfectly in Ubuntu is that SpeedStep is only
supported by Windows systems.
It's not the processor, it looks like that something in the chipset is
throttled. Timers are not running with the correct timing. Have a look
at the weird ping response times you get.

And the company server do provide the data in a reliable and continuous
stream. Just have a look at the people which do have problems with the
lokal network and streaming FLAC.

you use fixed IPs? Can
you ping the SB3 IP address from the Squeezecenter computer? Try t use a
fixed IP.

If it cannot connect to the WLAN you should check if a MAC filter is
enabled in the router.
