Another vote for Spotify - I use it via LMS and the Spotty plug-in
running on a Raspberry Pi. I like it because of their selection of
music. I listen mostly to Scandinavian music, and there's no other
service I've found with the same catalog. (Not surprising, since
they're based in Sweden.)
(I've read through the Windows 10 and other threads, and can't see
anything that helps me. It's probably something simple, and I apologize
in advance, if so.)

Turns out it had its own firewall running on top of Windows Firewall. I

I've got all three, and have to say that even as a Premium Spotify
member, I'd rather listen to another service on my Boom than Spotify on
my Radio. The difference in sound quality is huge, aside from also
getting stereo. And if you use LMS instead of msb.com, you can listen

I didn't, as the other channels were active in our area. But the router
itself died, solving the problem!
I found it was a problem to have the microwave between the router and
the Squeezebox. Our solution was to put the router on a shelf about a
foot above the microwave, and that solved most of it. Now, with a new
router, too, we don't notice any problems.
When Last.fm stopped streaming last month I had to go through the same
type of search. They had provided me an incredible service over more
then seven years, but then CBS bought them and ran them into the ground.

The best thing about it for me has been the depth of the music they

signal on our duet receiver and moved our (dsl) router to the kitchen.

The last few days I've had the Boom stop a few times at the end of a
song on Slacker (not Premium). I haven't had any problem with Last.fm,
so if it's related to Logitech then Slacker must work differently than
Last.fm on song changes.

on my Android phone and emailed the apk files to myself,
which I then open and load directly onto the Nook. So I don't see the
lack of Android Marketplace as a killer.
(We haven't loaded SqueezeCommander onto the Nook, as it's my wife's
toy and I use the copy on my phone all the time.)

ago (at Android 2.1) and most of us are looking forward to replacing

SqueezeCommander on my Android phone works great. I only use the Duet
Controller now when the Boom or Duet lose connection with MSB. The
Controller will wake them up, but SqueezeCommander will only find
connected devices.

connected. Same thing at 3:00 and 5:15, and at 6:00 it had
disconnected again. The times I've checked, the SBR is blue when the
Boom disconnects, and goes off again when the Boom connects. This is
with 3Mb DSL and the Boom next to the router...

on the SBC it's like it wakes up
the connection again for both.
I'd consider getting a new modem, but this six month old one didn't
have this problem until the latest SB update, and I'm hoping whatever
the new problem is will be fixed. (I'm contacting support, but not
optimistic...)

I actually like the fact that it's on the server, because it's much
easier to go to mysqueezebox.com and make modifications online than on
the devices themselves. Then the changes take effect in all of the
various SB devices automatically.

Mine was assigned to me 28 years ago by the US Government. I use it on
all forums where i don't use my real name, although it's a whole lot
easier to find me by kc5f than my real name. Three of us in my high
school had the same name. There's only one kc5f in the world, by

I bought my Duet ten days ago. Yesterday I had to factory reset both
the controller and receiver several times to get the receiver back on
the network and onto the controller's music sources list. I, too, am
hoping it won't be a weekly occurrence...
