Excluding *.mp3 and *.jpg seems to get me to about the same place as
disabling the scanning completely (I would gess it is primarily the MP3
files). I would get rid of McAfee, but the MediaSmart is a weird system
with that built in.

there is an Uninstall button. If you want both
SqueezeCenter and Pvconnect, you will have to change the port.

This device steals port 9000 from SC (there are other threads about
this). When SC stopped working, I removed Pvconnect completely, but it
may be related to this.
Does anyone have any ideas? I have no way to interpret the error
messages. Thanks.
