Hi,
while I had a few days without noticing sorting issues (that does not
mean there weren't any), they have returned now. I'm using iTunes as my
main program.
Here is what happens:
If I click an album in Slim's browser window left half, its titles will
be displayed as they should (the same
When this happened to me, it was because the ID3 tags were incorrect.
Try http://www.three-2-one.com/321apps/main/global/index1.htm for a Mac
ID3 editor.

Thanks for the link, but this program will only check MP3s, the files
in question are also mp4. If the tags are the problem, why would
Slimserver sort them ok on the left side in the browser window?

No, the order would be different each time.
Tricky one - and hard to check without sharing one of the albums that
gets listed incorrectly. My money is still on it being a tags issue
though...

How could we do this? Maybe I could upload 3 shorter songs to your
mailbox?? That'll
Well, if only some of your albums misbehave in this way, there must
be something different about them!
I thought so. Today I found that one album gets listed twice, i.e. it
contains 16 songs and if I add it to the playlist, SlimServer will add
32 songs, each song twice. I've found this in just

First, check your track number tags with a separate program like
mp3tag.
Note that if your track titles start with 7-, 8-, 9-, etc then thiese
are likely to give you the wrong order as well: should be 01- , 02-,
03- etc
Finally, how are you getting to the album? Are you

Almost all of my albums are played correctly. Only some are
'different'. So if an album consists of song '1. my first song' as
track one and '2.my second song' as track 2, it should play track 1 and

Well, you need to tell it the order somehow...
By default, that is 'TRACKNUMBER' on FLAC files.
If that tag is missing it will fall back to sorting by TITLE.
(Unless you're using Browse Music Folder.. in that case sorting is
based on filename, not what is in the tags at all.)
It sounds like
Thanks! I will try that out.

It's not an option, it's how it always works. If it's not doing it for
you, you must not have track number tags in your files. What file
format/tagger are you using
