down your display was on, wasn't it? . When the second number goes down
SqueezePlayer doesn't receive new data (or new data arrives too slow) .
Playback continues until all data is consumed.
Is your router a fritz!box?

OK so if the second number was hitting zero that presumably means that
the wireless connection is dropping on the S3?
The router is a Belkin Playmax N600, sited about 15 feet away with no
obstructions in between.

No, it just means data arrives slower than it is consumed, which could
have several reasons :
- S3 turning off WiFi to save battery power. Unlikely when the

What happens, when you keep the display on, do the dropouts disappear?
There are some nasty devices, which shut down the WiFi when the screen
is off, to safe even more
