There is no correct answer to this question
As pointed out above the bits are not the problem - The problem is with
the timing information provided by the data edge transitions.
Both connections methods have their drawbacks and all transceiver
implementations have their own foibles.

One nice attribute of the Coax approach is that you can use your Coax in
the walls to connect systems remotely. In my case, I use the DAC in the
Transporter locally to my 2 channel system and also use the Coax digital
out to connect it into my home theater system on a different floor.

I was wondering if there was any difference (in quality) between using a
coaxial or toslink connection from a SquzzeBox Classic (3) to a
DACMagic; and if one is better than the other, could someone please
recommend a decent make of cable to use.
