Well, for some reason SC stopped working for me. I don't know exactly
when, but when I installed it on my new Galaxy s2, there was no
connection.
Actually thinking about this, I seem to recall that when this problem
occurs the Touch will often work OK when I switch to the Mac LAN,
although sometimes it still refused to connect to MySB Favourites. But
I think I could still access Favourites stored on the LAN. So I'm not

Well I think I've been using it since 2003 or so, almost every time in
true bridged mode. If you throw a pair of config files at me I may
even be of help.
OpenVPN is a real gem, IMHO.

You are running SBS 7.5.2 so MySB will push an update to your SB3 every

See my signature.. If you run Spyglass and get an error then you will
need to install the .net runtime files, these are available
Yes, that's one of the reasons I rarely/never connect to MySB...
Anyway, I disabled the native Ogg decoder, and the SB3 now plays the
ogg files. So that was the principal problem solved.

OK - just woke up the Touch after being on standby for several hours.
Back at the top-level menu again with 'Favourites' missing. Checked

Hey folks, got a Squeezebox 3 that's been working without problems. I
just noticed that when it's in the off state, there's no date/time

I have another SB3 hooked up elsewhere, that is displaying date/time.
Not sure if this is related to 7.6.1 update. Went through

Further to my last post it sounds very similar to the problem being

As far as I can tell, it's an interaction between the msb.com route and
the latest firmware ... I never saw these issues with earlier firmware.

Thanks castalla. Your problem sounds very similar to mine, especially
the Touch reverting to 'nil'. I also don't think it's as simple as
wireless problems. If so, when nothing works via MySB, then why does
the Touch work when I connect to my LAN?
And, quelle surprise, everything back to normal
I had the same problem with version 7.6.1 - r33110 running on ubuntu.
The following commands on the console did help:
sudo service squeezeboxserver stop
sudo mv /var/lib/squeezeboxserver/cache
/var/lib/squeezeboxserver/cacheold
sudo service squeezeboxserver start
sudo service squeezeboxserver

Yeah, probably that bug that Michael noted. I had forgotten about it
because it hasn't been plaguing my SBs, and until the bug appeared, the

Windows wouldn't let you use such characters in a file name, AFAIK.
UNIX-like systems are much more tolerant in this regard, they'll let
you use quite any character.
There's an open bug report somewhere for this problem, BTW.
