I doubt that this was ever possible; even in prior versions. Basically
WMP can only stream (Play To) tracks to other media renders (such as
Whitebear/LMS) that are in one of WMP's own *native* formats (e.g. pcm,
mp3, wma, wav). The Shark add-ins do allow WMP to play tracks locally

Is there anything new from Logitech concering the squeezebox line at CES
2012? I could not find anything. I also see that the radio and Boom
are gone from thier web site. Perhaps that happenened a while ago?
Thanks Bob

The only things I saw from Logitech as CES were a funky rectangular
mouse, a keyboard, and some sort of iPod/iPad speaker system.
Nothing regarding the squeezebox. I was hoping for something, but I
have to say I'm not really surprised.
I know the Boom has been discontinued, but I wasn't aware
What country are you in? The Radio is certainly still on their US site,
as well as the European sites that I checked.
There's nothing new for SBs at CES this year. They do have some
Bluetooth-based music players for smartphones and tablets, which they
already announced in late 2011 (for

My daughter has a Touch which she uses from her apartment remotely back

Hi,
thanks for you reply.
I made sure that no other device on the network uses the same IP.
The plug on the SB3 was moved when resetting to factory defaults, so I
guess it has been wiggled ;)
I will try to look at the outlet, but since this wasn't touched lately
I assume it's still good.
Do a xlink reset . It usuall cures odd sound issues.

Why is ogg (vorbis) not supported? As far as I understand this is a
native format in android. All other media players in my phone can
handle ogg files right away. And so can both my sqeezebox classic and

sometimes it is easy to ad an extra space by mistake when typing in the

Other problems I've seen...
1. Depending on the encryption type, you may need to use the hex code
as opposed to the password.
2. The firewall may block your squeezebox. For a short period of time
I was having this problem consistently without any reason I could find.

As a developer you can only use 'native' Ogg if you are using Androids
inbuilt Media Player.
But the inbuilt player doesn't give me enough control to implement the

If these boxes run Android and the manufacturers didn't fail to
implement it correctly then SqueezePlayer will run on it :)
