machine on which LMS is installed. Are there options for other Windows
machines on the same network?

squeezelite can be installed on other windows machines. doesn't have to
be on the same machine with LMS.
Duet controller in perfect condition. I actually have the Base unit to
go with it if you want but I lost the power lead for it when I moved
house last year so haven't used it since then

Just to clarify. Regards base unit for the controller I mean the actual
Squeezebox part of the duet. Obviously you get the cradle and power
lead for the controller itself as well.

I've been dealing with this for about 6 months, but the last week the
problem has become exponentially worse.
The SB3 is streaming wirelessly from a D-Link DIR-655 router.
The SB3 will spontaneously reboot, and not resume play.
The reboot only seems to happen when music is streaming. I haven't
The usual suspect are the power supply a loose connector to the power
supply or the wifi card .
The wifi card can be removed and then you can run it as wired only .
Main hifi: Touch + CIA PS +MeridianG68J MeridianHD621
If it's the wifi card, sometimes simply reseating it is enough to
correct the problem.

Check for interference from neighbouring wifi networks, mobile hotspots
or perhaps new wireless devices such as controllers.

It might be worthwhile to try a XILINX reset on the SB3. I haven't done
in a while, so I searched to WIKI for the procedure:

I played around with that before but without any success. The distance
is minimal.

Fairly interesting. It stopped playing after about 5 minutes. I didn't
have time to get to the unit to see if it was a reboot or rebuffer
problem.

As an experiment I've built a port of Squeezelite with supporting codec

SqueezePlay. Then you have a Touch-like user interface as well.
