Sounds like you are using an old server version, too. Maybe an update

That actually has to be dome manually every time a full library rescan
is done???
There must be a way for Squeeze Commander to detect that (all of) its
data is stale. No?

If I did a "look for new and changed" every night, then the server would
not remove albums/tracks which I'd deleted.
That's why I decided to run a "clear database and rescan" each night.
I'll ponder this, and decide which is the lesser evil, having to "clear
cache" in squeeze commander every day,
I use Squeezeplay on Win10 and it works just fine. I just use the web
browser to control things...

I can confirm that both apps work with LMS 7.9. I prefer OrangeSqueeze.
Squeeze Ctrl often crashes the LMS on smaller hardware like NAS. And
OrangeSqueeze looks much better. :cool: But on the other hand Squeeze
Ctrl seems to be the only app that is still under development.

I've a new Surface 4 that came with Win10. Love the device, my favorite
piece of hardware yet, but I'm still finding my way around Win 10. I'd
like to use it to control my Squeezebox ecosystem from time to time, and
to use it as a player itself. So -- who has experience of Squeeze
Remote and
Aha! I've fixed it. I had to "Clear cache". As after a database
rebuild.
I've configured my server to do a "clear and rebuild database" every
night. So, if I download a new album into my PC, the server will
automatically pick it up by the following day.
But this continual database rebuilding
Well, it needs to re-download all the cached data.
I'd do only a "look for new and changed data" rescan because that didn't
clear all the artwork caches

Yes, that's why I asked about the server update. It's broken with older
LMS versions which don't report an updated rescan date when you do a
"clear & rescan". It's fixed in at least 7.8 and newer, probably also
7.7.5 and ..6

That's weird ? Assuming you have a normally very quit DAC ? Much gain in

if you think it's the SBT, i personally would have no qualms about a
factory reset on the spot. i have done that with several devices over
the years. i also like to go for a clean reinstall of LMS (it's why i
keep a virginal copy of the original virtual machine) whenever some
weird issue appears.

It's not difficult to update to 7.8. It's difficult (but worth trying)
to update to 7.9. So just skip the steps that are just for the 7.9.
There's no ARP involved, the App tells MySB about the MAC of the
controller in the header. That said I'm not even 100% it's only the MAC
and not also a UUID (would have to look that up).
If three Apps are involved I'd also say it's unlikely that an App issue
is involved, looks rather like a

This is a known issue. If I remember correctly it stems from the fact
that this is a mixed menu of normal menu items and custom browse menu

I too have started using large album art, as it looks
I can't find a way to play anything. I found the album I want to play,
but my playlist is empty, and I cannot find the sequence of things that
I have to do to add the album to the playlist.
Clearly, I'm missing something, but I've been battling this issue for
several weeks, and getting nowhere.
Now my problem is how to display the tracks in the album that I want to
play.
I've spent a few minutes, but haven't found how to do this...
So, I'm not getting very far, trying to tap one of the tracks.
