I don't have family account though so I'm not sure if that can cause problems. With normal premium account I have never experienced intermittent functionality in terms of end points visibility. Only spotty problem I'm aware of is occasionall " playback pause"with Spotify play lists.. Tbh not even sure this problem apears in Spotify Connect usage.. Re: [slim] What should I buy?
Spotify app on iPhone. While playing, press the 'Listening On' icon (bottom left). You should then be able to select the Sqeeze front end device (SliMP3 or Squeezebox in my case). In the past, the output has sometimes shown as an option, and sometimes not. And when it has been a selectable option, it's sometimes worked, but mostly not. Ths must be be supposed to work, because the options is sometimes there and sometimes does work. I'm just wanting me and my family to be able to play Spotify on our phones, and then select room speakers as the output, when we want to. I'd prefer to do this through my LMS backend, because I've always liked the system. However, the rest of the family have moved on, so if i have to chose between solid multi user Spotify playback 'or' LMS, then Spotify playback will win. Re: [slim] What should I buy?
Thanks for the feedback everyone. The thing that I'd been failing to do was play music, on our phones, with the Spotify app, and then select the SliMP3 or Squeezebox at the output. However, I'm in the middle of setting up a new server, so I'll try setting up LMS afresh and see how that all goes. If I have the same issues, I'll try looking at other solutions. If it all works this time, then all good. Fingers crossed. I also use a J5005 on an ASRock https://www.asrock.com/MB/Intel/J5005-ITX/index.asp since it was released. The HD performance and USB3 i good enough to handle everything LMS related well and runs Win 11 without limitations. The follow up J5040 should even be a bit faster. castalla wrote: > Any candidates? Depending on the size of your library, I'd recommend at least an i3 otherwise library rebuilds will take forever. Note that Win 10 Home does not have remote desktop server so you'd need to use a third-party solution like VNC. Win 10 Pro is good to go out of the box. In addition to Beelink mentioned above, Amazon has several reconditioned and inexpensive HP ProDesk/EliteDesk units. If you want to keep noise out of the picture, go for something fanless. Note that you may need a monitor, keyboard, and mouse for initial setup. I bought a Beelink and it is surprisingly good. They do a range of versions depending on how high a spec you want e.g. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B09HYKPBBB/ref=sspa_dk_detail_2?psc=1_rd_i=B09HYKPBBB_rd_w=ucHa7_rd_p=828203ef-618e-4303-a028-460d6b615038_rd_wg=Hg1tc_rd_r=EH0A7W92V7X6VS66PTYE_rd_r=909bad40-9d9b-4e3e-ac48-2b2070e5e981=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEyQVpYRU5EUTVYVEdCJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwNzE2NzU2MkNQT081Q05UWDRHRSZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwOTI5NDQ1MTFLRFQ4NkJZWjAxUSZ3aWRnZXROYW1lPXNwX2RldGFpbCZhY3Rpb249Y2xpY2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU= Lounge: Transporter>Audio Synthesis DAX Decade>Audio Research LS22>Krell FPB300>Wilson Benesch Act 1's + 2 x Velodyne SPL1000 sub's Kitchen: Touch>Topping DAC>Arcam Solo>Anthony Gallo Micro's+Sub, Joggler controller Office: DAC32>Acoustic Energy AE1 Active's, Joggler controller Garage: Boom>QAcoustics 7000s subwoofer Bedroom: Radio Shed: Radio Workshop: Boom Garden 1: SB3>JVC amp>Rock outdoor speakers Garden 2: SB3>JVC amp>Rock outdoor speakers Heuer's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2543 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=115376 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

This works pretty well: Win 10 AUDIBLE TuneBlade (airplay bridge) for Shairtunes lms plugin Anydesk remote This gives a nice usable interface on an android tablet. I've got it all working on a win10 laptop but thought a dedicated always on mini Pc would be a nice alternative. There are a couple of win 10 tablets which could eliminate Anydesk use, but battery life seems notoriously short. And there's reliability issues with all these noname devices. castalla's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=15624 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=115376 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

Re: [slim] Install Picore player
Ok, on here Install your own LIRC configuration file(s) Default installation only supports Logitech Squeezebox remote. If you are using another remote controller you need to supply your own configuration file(s). To use your own configuration file(s): Copy the file(s) either: via ssh to the /tmp directory, or to an attached USB flash drive. Press the [Custom] button and your configuration file(s) will be copied and used by pCP. How do i go by writing my own IR remote lirc to usb to customize 19lee79's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=72157 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=115249 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
