Low number of seconds is likely.

First couple of times that happens it's a bit weird isn't it.
I frequently use my Turntable to LMS rig
Yes. Low number of seconds. People often post about using LMS to do
multi-room audio from TV. It just can't be done without unacceptable
latency.
I have a Pi that takes the audio from my turntable in Living Room and
sends it via Liquidsoap to an instance of Icecast2 which LMS (on another
Pi)

Disable wavin->Flac and it could reduce latency to less than a second.
However it will load the network streaming WAV/PCM which maybe a prbolem
with synced players.
Not really - at least not as its primary function.
It is a remote desktop viewer.
You sit at one end and can see the screen (full desktop) output at the
other.

I have a turntable in the lounge that is connected to a RPi ... I can
start it playing and then get to the kitchen to hear, over another SB
player, the needle drop.

I'll have a fluff of WAVIN... maybe I can use it to sync the indoor
instances as the DJ will be set up outside... So long as we're not
talking seconds worth of

With the free VNC viewer, It's a bit laggy at the moment as the video
driver has been reworked. I have a "ghost" HDMI plug in the HDMI outlet.
With Buster it was possible to edit
Alright gotta post-covid19 vaxxed and neg tested party going on at my
humble abode this weekend and have a puzzle to solve.
I have enlisted the skills of three DJs to mix for us, one in my lounge
room, one in a shed in Melbourne, and one in his sound laboratory in
Singapore. These last two

I confirm... I had the problem with my two SB3 about a year ago... after
eliminating the wireless card issue, I had to resolve to ditch them and
replace them with piCorePlayer.
It's
Interesting thread, I have often had up 6 or more SB's of various HW
(logitech, Slimdevices, and Pi based) synced up in my house/yard,
neighbors house for parties. All are hardwired. It has worked great if
I make a playlist and use LMS song crossfading . I always thought It
would be nice if
I've installed an XT8 kit two days ago and had the exact same problem
with a Transporter (transporter connects, obtain an IP address through
DHCP, but can't connect to the server)
As the XT8 kit is working correctly and solves a lot of other problem, I
just kept them and added a mini wireless

scratch. A long way to go yet.

In the end I had to do the same thing (for two Booms) - but also for an
old wireless scale as well - so the solution of a legacy AP (separate
SSD, and mac limited to specific devices only) - was a good way to go.
Still an irritant that it is needed so I look forward to your
investigations!
I had the same issue with a SB3 Classic. The cure was to open the unit
(remove the PSU first) and then gently pry both the WiFi card and the
Network Card off. I then cleaned the connector pins on each unit
thoroughly using a contact cleanerand small brush. That was nine months
ago, the SB3 is in
