Does anyone know of caller id solutions that work with Linux?
Well, FWIW I run a pretty hacked-up solution. I'm in the Netherlands,
and I have ISDN for my phone line. I used a spare ISDN card in my Linux
server and hooked it up to the ISDN line. Each incoming call triggers a

I have SlimServer 6.1 Nighlty plus SoftSqueeze b9. As from two days ago,
SoftSqueeze has stopped playing, and if I synch it with any Squeezebox, it
won't play either.
It says PLAYING - but the timer does not move and no sound comes out...

I suspect so - it's a high impedance through the CMOS switch that
provides the geekport capability (serial and IR data coming soon, I

I'm still using 5.4 but don't feel like signing up for the forum so I can't

You are right, offcourse. Extra security measure is to limit access to your
network to certain MAC-addresses only (your own hardware). Most wireless
access points have this feature.

Nope - not pausing during playback. Some albums play fine, some don't,
no difference in the way the discs were ripped. All are .wav format,
and stream is wav.

So that's a 2.4GHz signal? If it was an RF circuit, I'd say maybe one
of the traces is acting as a nice 2.4GHz
What you're hearing is the envelope of the signal. Of course 2.4G is
a ways outside our hearing range. :)
