Guys, im using a Duet as my upstairs system with a SB3 as my downstairs
unit. SqueezeCenter is running on my NAS
The SB3 is plugged in via RCA into my powered speakers, however, at
full volume both on the speakers and the software its VERY low. Playing

Set the SB3's output volume level to Fixed 100%, I think this is what
Phil was referring too.
If that doesn't do it I'd suggest trying the SB3 on your other system
and comparing the volume output to the Duet.

I'm sure that, when using the + button on the Boom, the selected item
(song, album etc.) would be added to current playlist.
This was a great way of bulding up a nice playlist.
However, now it seems to add to now playing so everytime you
select something press + it gets inserted
I have a bit of OCD so not having a cover art for an album drives me
nuts. I have very few albums without covers, but for those albums I
can't find a cover for I took a picture I like (of my wife), resized it,
and I use it for my unknown cover art.

sbs works someething like this afaik:
first it looks in the file for embedded art if thats not present it
looks in the same folder ! for cover.jpb folder.jpg and similar + some
extra names you specify yourself in the settings.
I don't know what picture formats is supported but jpeg is safe bet

What's the input sensitivity figure for your powered speakers? Is the
speaker sensitivity level switchable?
Have you tried the Duet with those speakers? If it gives the same
volume level as the SB3, then the issue is a mismatch between the

WMP 11 can act as a DLNA server and that's what this does instead of

I am new here but LOVE my Squeezebox deluxe. I has a question for the
gurus.
The computer that has all my media on it and Squeezebox server
installed (iTunes sync) is on the bottom level of my house. It is the
only level not wired for speakers on the stereo. My Squeezebox deluxe
look in the 3rd party plugins forum for softsqueeze and install it on
the computer.
That will give you a 2nd player

You need to install a bit of software.
There are a couple of options - Squeezeplay (which is still in
beta/development but works pretty well IMHO - but is only precomplied
for Mac and Windows right now) or Softsqueeze (which is deprecated, but
still works for me).

Squeezeplay can be used to control any of your players, so you need to
make sure you've selected the tracks to play on Squeezeplay specifically

Thanks guys. I have it synchronized now but still no sound. I do see
everything playing the same thing and i can control it with either.
Maybe there a reason on the PC that squeezeplay has no sound?

AHA! I see this in the bug listing for 7.4.1

solution. I moved my Squeezebox library to OS X. Works fine now except
that my Squeezebox Classic stops playing when my Mac goes to sleep. Is
there any way to stop this from happening? (Besides extending the
'sleep' time?
I just want to point out the sync is not working on Windows for the
recent versions of SqueezePlay.

There is something under Settings Advanced Networking Remote
Libraries, but as far as I can see you need a Controller or a PC running
SqueezePlay to get into that menu. It is does not seem to be available
with the IR remote.

Probably a dumb question: How do I minimise SCtrl? Clicking the red
gearwheel closes it completely, and I haven't found any other way of
navigating away from it other than by answering the phone.
