I was running 7.4.2, without problems, but only for a few days before
7.5 came out. The firmware upgraded for 7.4.2 and I thought it upgraded

It's now 2-3 years later and it is much better.
Not as a player. That was planned with Touch and came with Radio. It's
getting stable right now as you can see in the FLAC thread.

I don't see a my.cfg - where should it be? The my.tt path matches that

That looks good. The my.cfg file is located at /etc/mysql/my.cnf
Can you post the content of this file also?

If these are real 5.1 flacs, just telling SOX to remix them to 2
channels is not going to make them play properly.
How were these files created? - were they ripped from DVD/dvd-a/sacd
somehow?

You want to see the signal path BEFORE it gets onto a CD/vinyl...it
ain't what you'd
when you have done a pski says (you must remove that entry in secuirty
settings!) reboot your router, then your server, then your SB3

I was having playback issues with 7.5.0 and 7.5.1 on Rhapsody, Pandora,
last.fm, and Sirius (Linux Fedora 11 platform running VortexBox).
Playing via SBS through a Duet Receiver and Transporter. Reverting
back to 7.4.2 cured the problem.

ITRAX and few other websites sell now these 5.1 flac files.
I do not know which matrix SoX uses for downmix, but the result was
quite acceptable.
I also use foobar2k sometimes to downmix in off-line

Seems to have worked for me, too. Thanks!
(For the last week I couldn't go for more than a song or two using
either my Boom or Duet on internet radio, Slacker or Pandora without it
losing connection with MSB. They even both lost it several times a day
when turned off. After changing this

Ditto. It's not even close. The Radio has no real advantage other than

Edit: If you want really good sound and are willing to pay for it, skip

OT, but..
Yes, that works. You need:
a) Set username password on your server and run nothing critical on
it since I'm not sure all this is safe.
b) open a port on your router (port) and

As for the .xls, ACC will get an export to CSV file which can be easily
imported in Excel (album art is not supported for CSV files ).
I probably postpone any new features until the release
