Thanks, the item i found that works is a power down unit, i can get it
it turn on by pressing the squeezebox remote power on button. So
basically when i press the power on on my squeezebox it powers up the
actual squeezebox unit as well as my amp but sometimes the squeezebox

True, although the SB that died was actually a Slim Devices SB3, and
the other one is still running, so I'm comfortable with the longevity
for a CE product. In fact, it was probably one of the oldest things in
the audio cabinet :-)

toby10, i think you're right in that the networks relationship with the
affiliates needs to change.
People are watching the networks programming because its a popular
branded item. I think most folks could care less if those network shows
are attached to a local affiliate.

Classic.

difference (and I'm usually fairly discriminating on audio.) Also, my

I just bought a Galaxy Tab and I can confirm, the current
SqueezeCommander is working well.
But nevertheless, there is room for improvements due to the higher
resolutions, which are available on tab's.
So I will check a new tab version, as soon as it comes out.

Well yes the Touch is better, but you're in luck if you still like the
Classic look as it is still available from several sources including
Amazon.

I have just connected my squeezebox to a power down plug and wondered is
it possible for the squeezebox when plugged in to always be powered on,
as ready to play music rather than having to get the remote and turn it
on.

iPeng on your iPod Touch or iPhone. This way you dont even need
different alarms for different times (only one will do) and it is very
easy for you switch them on and off and adjust the alarm time.
