I'd somehow be happier if I thought they were cutting all of their

agree. My post was a poor attempt at sarcasm. I certainly think it
would be crazy to try trade on seeing the future of the stock market.
Just like I think it is a waste of time to try to predict Logitech's

Now that the Squeezebox line is gone, and its replacement doesn't even

year old Duet dies? Can it be repaired? By Logitech? If I buy a Touch
as a backup, can that be repaired?

That's good as most of my players are the older style Classic and SB3
players. I will be following these threads on how to prepare for the
eventuality that LMS and MySqueezebox.com are no longer supported, with

No, I think the duet is just as reliable at the TOUCH (maybe more so, as
there is no screen to go out). My point was that the duet receiver has

It was announced 8/29. Or rather, LogitechUE was announced. The only
mention of Squeezebox was the statement that the company would still
support LMS and mysb.com. They have retained the Radio, although the new
software focuses on ease of use vs flexibility/functionality.

It is based on the 7.8 branch Jul 17, 2012 git check in which I've
exported back to subversion as I really dislike git.
What a pity (but trust me: git and I aren't friends yet either :-)). How
much of a patch would this be to be merged back?

If the audio book is on CD you can just rip it like any other CD and
play it back through your Squeezebox player from your Squeezebox server
(LMS). If your audio book is already a MP3 you can just put it in your
current Squeezebox server folder, scan for new and updated and then play
it back
