If I request it several times, over and over... will that boost the
priority rating? :P
I have no idea what it would entail, but isn't it possible to copy n
paste the setttings from a normal squeezebox type of deal, to add a
feature like that?

Hi
I'm interested in adding in another player - either Duet Receiver or
Touch (I have 2 x Booms and 1 x Duet).
Searching at the moment but obviously these are quite expensive often
used items.
Have found a New-other Touch for £200 on ebay - would this be a good
purchase ?
Didn't Logitech
The only thing Logitech released after ending SqueezeBox players was the
UE Radio which can be firmware updated to a SqueezeBox player.

While personally I use this player on my various Android devices there
is now a 2nd Android playback app called SB Player, in the blurb it
claims to support track and album gain, might be worth a look.
I'm not sure I like recommending a competitors product so sorry about
that. Let me just say I
Consider a cheap used iTouch running iPeng app as a replacement player.
If you need speakers, pair with audioengine 2.0.

I just got a cheap Android tablet that doesn't have access to Google
Play. I downloaded the apk directly as decribed in the wiki via
http://downloads.slimdevices.com/SqueezeboxControllerApp/Squeezebox-5.apk;.
This installs fine but appears to be v1.1.3 instead of the newest
v1.1.4. Can we get
I can't help with that but I can easily send you the APK or stick it in
Dropbox and post a link if you need it.

Good suggestion, I'll also add the following alternatives for
consideration.

Thanks for posting that. The device came preinstalled with the Mobile1
market app so I actually updated the Squeezebox app from there but I'm
not sure how much I trust Mobile1 since it seems to have ads on the
update screen that claim I have a virus. In any case, it would be good
if Logitech

Do you think it would be a waste of money to get this Touch for £200 ?
It would be intended as an upgrade to Duet receiver as my main hifi
player. I thought the Touch was a higher quality player than Receiver..

No. I love the touch. I bought 3 extra ones as

You expressed interest in how I use sqlite together with batch files to
extract the tables (which I then import into Access). You might no
longer be interested after JJZolx's recommendation [thanks from me too,

Pippin , very nice that info controls are in the new io7 control

JohnB,
Thanks. I did grab your zip file just to look through it, I may find
pieces useful. And you're correct that with the JJZolx reply I no longer
needed it. Thanks again.

Is the audio quality (analogue) significantly better than Duet ?
I guess my other concern is spending £200 on hardware that relies on
discontinued software. If my Win XP/7 computers die then I may not be
able to use
You can run Ipeng with 'playback'on an iPad ,phone or iTouch and it
behaves just like a Squeezebox touch.

Hardware wise the Touch has a slightly superior DAC to a Duet or SB3.
You can run ipeng in playback mode with good results if linked to a
airplay receiver or a good digital dock.

I took a look at some of the code and it appears that TBPM is
recognized. What kind of values do you have in these tags? I came across
a check in the code that makes sure the value is numeric. I believe the
following requires that the value be a plain non-zero integer.
So something like 120.0 or

keep looking. I suspect new in box Touch units (or almost new in box)
will pop up on a regular basis. think about all those people that
bought one of these, hooked it up, it was confusing, put it away in the

Yes, I do have TBPM populated using MixMeister BPM Analyzer.
http://www.mixmeister.com/download-bpmanalyzer.php
It does do numbers (like 133.56). Looks like all TBPM values are taken
to 2 decimal points and there's no ability to tell it to round to the
nearest whole number.
