[slim] Script that is triggered by a Squeezebox Alarm
Hi there, Doing some home automation projects at the moment and wondering if anyone knows of a way to trigger a script when a squeezebox alarm goes off? Seems like there might have been some old plugins that did this but none that appear to have been maintained on 7.9.1 Full context is that I want Squeezebox to be the owner of the alarm and that when the alarm goes off, it executes a script that drives a set of Vera home automation commands. SqueezedVera plugin used to do something like this, but it also hasn't been updated for 7.9.1 Thanks in advance, Paul soaringeagle's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=21308 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=108163 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

Ah, I think I can reproduce what you mean. If you click into one of the player cells then the sliders become unresponsive, you need to very briefly hold the handle to move them around. Probably a problem I introduced when trying to fix the gesture recognizer precedence issues with iOS 11. Will try to get this fixed for the next update. But they _do_ move, it's just a bit complicated. --- learn more about iPeng, the iPhone and iPad remote for the Squeezebox and Logitech UE Smart Radio as well as iPeng Party, the free Party-App, at penguinlovesmusic.com *New: iPeng 9, the Universal App for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch* pippin's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13777 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=108006 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

Dont worry about it, itll be worth it to play my music and save me from moving to sonos for a few more months. Family sharing works for families with young kids, but as soon you switch it on the main member (me) would then pay for any films / music the kids at university download. Re: [slim] Speaker for bathroom
I think I'd be looking for a set of small powered/active speaker (that is, speakers with a built-in amplifier). Depending on the dampness levels and ventilation in the room, it might make sense to look for speakers are either waterproof or at least built for damp environments. There is a product category generally called "outdoor speakers" that are designed to be installed on decks, patios and gardens. The catch here is that these are mostly unpowered designs. If you don't find an active outdoor speaker to your liking, also consider using a portable or home "Bluetooth" speaker. Although products in this category usually carry the "Bluetooth" moniker, most all of them have a standard 3.5mm stereo aux input. There are an enormous variety of models available, and many of them are designed to be waterproof. As a bonus, they usually have rechargeable on-board batteries, giving you a dual-use option. As far as specific models: I have an (older model) TDK A33 that works great. Good reviews for all of these (and many, many others...): JBL Flip 4 Logitech UE ROLL 2 VAVA Voom 21 Sony XRSXB3 Good luck. ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

It's not my house, so I can't use in wall speakers sadly. Thank all for yours answers. Why use a complex system in bathroom ? Sometime I quickly take my shower so I don't have time to make a playlist. Or sometime I don't want to take my phone to make a playlist. Etc...So I use my nodon button to launch songs mix and skip if I don't want to listen. It's ok but my button can't get into shower so I have to use it outside. Control isn't the first problem. max2play, is it possible to use Bluetooth speaker with your image ?
