heard from others that Wayne at Bolder Cable will take out the wireless
card in a SqueezeBox for a very minimal fee...

I really wish SqueezePlay would finally get finished and a non-beta
version released. We've been patiently waiting for a really long time

Computer audio can most certainly be done right, but it definitely isn't
easy to do for the mainstream consumer. The biggest advantages of the
SB3 system IMO include its outstanding portability and incredible
software package. SqueezeCenter is especially an amazing thing. :)

Exactly the same thing has recently started happening with me too. We
use a wired SB3 with high-speed internet. Strange (and frustrating)...

continues to thrash around with the
disk. Any ideas what I should do? The drive is a fairly generic Sony
DVD ROM drive which can play both DVD and CD disks.
P.S. I also noticed many copies of the CD Player EXE in the list of
active processes in Task Manager.

an inch, if you want the soundfield to remain coherent.
Good hifi-oriented speakers will have a MUCH larger sweetspot for
listening, and slightly different voicing.

Hey, this looks like a great solution for finally accomplishing CD

basic CD-playback functionality in SS would be extremely useful to me,
as would having a send to soundcard option. I'm sure many others too
would enjoy these enhancements. So I again wonder, why not?

When I first saw that offer, I too was ready to buy immediately. Then I
saw the location requirement, and I just can't justify the extra
expense to travel there to buy.
I really wish the offer wasn't just for local buyers.

This post won't add much to the thread... but I have an SB3 working
flawlessly on a powerline network using Phonex NeverWire 14 units.
Your Panasonics are newer/faster technology, but the network basics are
the same. Are you running any hardware/software firewalls?

Personally, I like using the excellent TVedia software (my favorite) to
play ripped DVD iso's from harddrive on an HTPC. The HTPC is also
running AnyDVD. The same company that makes the AnyDVD program
(Slysoft.com) also makes an excellent DVD ripper called CloneDVD2.
