aubuti, That is exactly what I am referring to also. If you need to initiate and control the audio stream with some other application, then SS is passively receiving (not initiating/controlling) the stream. I am talking about SS doing this itself with basic functionality (certainly nothing nearly as complex as Win/Foo), so the user could still just use a headless PC in the background. SuperQ, That sounds like quite a nice custom setup you've got there. I wish SS could even natively do just "play", instead of a "rip-&-play". So when friends come over with CD's you could play through the slim device and SS - no ripping needed on those occasions, and no separate CD player taking up shelf space! :) Perhaps SS could access the built-in "CD Player" application and drivers in Windows, or something like that - why not? -- NewBuyer ------------------------------------------------------------------------ NewBuyer's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=7862 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=41577 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
