amazing, that is pretty great.

Yeah, looks like I was wrong about the 3D source material bit. Never
the less, Logitech don't need to do anything to support material
processed by this filter.

Yes, it will. Yes, all of them. Yes, SoftSqueeze as well. What ?
I SAID ALL OF THEM !
I wonder if this 3D sound filtering process is CPU intensive or not.
Can it be cheaply implemented?

I think this is very similar to the StereoXL feature already on the Boom

Why would Logitech need to do anything ? The whole point of the
technology is that it takes some sort of 3D source material and outputs
a stereo audio stream that makes the soundstage sound 3D when played
on two speakers.
There is nothing for Logitech to do to support this.

I was just listening to the audio article at the beginning, and the
inventor said, By the way, the filter is not adding anything; *it's
just taking away crosstalk*.
If that's correct, then yes, it sounds like a company could implement
this technology with a filter.

Yes, again, it sounds like a filter that could be used in any digital
system:
Drawing on some of the math in plasma physics, Choueiri devised a
digital algorithm that cancels crosstalk transparently without changing
the tonal quality of the sound. The brain naturally does the rest,

It seems to me that if water streams and bird sounds are so realistic,

Totally different technology. This 3D Sound comes from 2 speakers, not
4.
You should listen (or relisten) to the broadcast. I listened on both
my laptop and Boom. Outstanding!

It isn't the first technology to offer 3D sound from two speakers and
I'm sure it won't be the last.
