I find it so hard to understand why the developers at SlimDevices went
for a playlist file format that differs from the WMP standard. Why? Can
anyone explain the logic

SC supports a wide range of playlist formats, including .wpl. As
others have

why they didn't use either of those...
Asfar as I can see, SC can read m3u list created by VMP, but not vice
verca. What does

They are not supposed to work as far as I know. The workaround is to
use a different directory. But it is kind of manual as I have to move
the playlist after I created
What is the extension of the WMP playlists? Assuming it's something

Ah, good point. Didn't realise you were also using WMP for regular
playlists as well as the autoplaylists. One option would be to
instruct WMP to create its regular playlists in a different format as

Hi
I use WMP and I use auto-playlists on it.
Squeezebox can't interpret these but it is quite frustrating that they
still appear on the playlists in the library. Can't we make it
automatically ignore auto playlists it can't play?
First prize is obviously to make it use these thoug :)
I don't know if these should be interoperable or not, but if not, just
use a different directory.
