But what were you going to use to stream to the USB DAC?

Migrating to a USB DAC has proved difficult in the SQ department so I'll
be streaming with the Transporter for the foreseeable future.

Now that the scans complete, I am impressed by the scanning speed,
especially for a "new or changed music scan".
It's lightning fast without a RAM drive: all my files in about 7
minutes.
Next is the arduous process of corrupted file surgery.
Thanks for the tips above.

I just connect my PC to the USB DAC. That's what I use to control the TP
as well. I"m just an old fashioned guy :)

Apologies for not getting back sooner, kept forgetting to check and
testing a once a week event takes... well, a week!
Having set one of my Radios to alarm the same as yours (liquefy)... one

I'm assuming the RME ADI-2 DAC is not also a streamer. So what would
you use as the streamer in place of the Transporter? A TOUCH or rPi with
Squeezelite or . Some people use the Transporter but then connect
it digitally to another DAC.

If you mean in Settings/Player/Alarm Clock then these settings are not
changed, after my weekly test when I checked the alarm settings

Well can't say for sure, I did it a few weeks ago, but most likely the
power button.
Our normal daily alarm is always turned off by either the power button
or by letting it run its course set
