the SB3 to run form the LinkSys since this is the better router, and I continue to have drop out problems with the SpeedTouch (esp when running 2 sync'd SB3s). Any idea why everything else runs from the LinkSys but not the SB3? I have 2 SB3s and they are the same. -- rbl

[slim] SB3 drop out when transfering large files

might get some satisfaction by reducing how much the buffer has to fill up before it starts playing. Little information boxes come up if you drag your mouse over the I, which helps somewhat, but nothing particularly conprehensive that I can see. Think I'll have to play around with it... -- rbl

I want to get a universal remote to handle primarily the SB3, but also 2 DVD players, home theatre amp etc.. Preferably it should have RF capability too. Does anyone have any ideas, and also does anyone know if Logitech are going to make a universal remote that also handles the SB3? -- rbl

The harmony 890 is probably perfect but looks very old fashioned ... wonder if they are coming out with a new one soon? The trouble with the pronto is surely with a touch screen interface it is next to impossible to operate in the dark by touch alone? -- rbl

What happens is it goes off and scans away for a long time. But it never clears the library in the first place, so I end up with everything duplicated. If I start the clear and rescan and then quickly look under Artists, then the entire library is still there. -- rbl

as to which albums are shown properly - if I go back to the home page and back into Albums then different covers will be shown. yes - have tried the Song Scanner plugin which works well. But of course you can't scan and listen at the same time so getting to where you want to be is a bit tricky. Also it is not as handy to use although I believe you can reconfigure the FF and FR keys to use it .. -- rbl

Actually I have just noticed that if I disable Inguz's room correction in filetypes and use the built in decoder it works properly. So now the trick is to get Inguz's DRC to work with both SB3's. -- rbl rbl's Profile

But powerlines also suffer from noise apparently. I think going to N at 5GHz makes sense since not many people use it (yet), and at least you dodge bluetooth, phones and microwaves. Of course the SB3 is still G, but at least part of the network would be better -- rbl

I currently have SqueezeServer running on my laptop which connects wirelessly to the router, which then connects wirelessly to the SB3, which generally works very well. The problem is that when I turn the laptop's bluetooth on, there is clearly some interference, even if I don't use it as such.

Currently if I put my 1 year old Windows 7 PC into Sleep mode, the SB3s immediately wake it up. I first have to switch off all SB3s, and then put the PC to Sleep. Going into the web interface and turning off the SB3s one by one is pretty tedious. Is there a quick way to do this? Is there a batch

I currently sync Squeezelite (running on a newish Win7 PC running SBS 7.7.3) with two SB3s, one hard wired and one wireless. I find I get little pops especially when listening to the SB3s. I am guessing this is part of the syncing but not sure. Any ideas how to stop it? I listen to BBC iPlayer

[slim] stream from android tablet?

Is it possible to stream music from my android tablet to my SB3s over wifi? Preferably without too much latency. E.g. for spotify (non premium), video soundtrack etc.. rbl's Profile:

Oh! So I guess I have to get a bluetooth audio receiver but I don't get the feeling that the sound quality is much good with those, and the range is pretty rubbish too. And latency will presumably be significant too, although I am less worried about that. Shame!
