now as it is suffering from the random shutdown issue plaguing ATT.
However, SqueezeCommander is an awesome Android app. I just wish it
had a couple small features like the ability to mark the currently
playing song a favorite.

I too snagged a Duet in addition to the two booms. The Duet is already
shipped but no estimated ship date on the booms.
If they are being discontinued that's probably a good indicator that
new models are around the corner.

Finally got an email from Amazon today and it looks like they found the
booms to fulfill my order. All three (boom x 2 and duet x 1) will be
here Wednesday. I was getting a little worried they'd sold too many
and wouldn't be able to fulfill my order.

I just tried it and it worked, but it's not nearly as polished as
SqueezeCommander or the two iPad apps that I own. Think I'll stick
with the ones I have already.

My two booms and duet came in and the duet controller updated to the
latest version firmware for me just fine. I still don't have a second
sound system yet to hook the receiver up to, but plan on getting one
for my birthday in April.

Yes, that is exactly what happens. Turning off the player that pushes
it over the edge will allow smooth playback again. I'm 99.999% certain
it's a bandwidth issue. Hopefully the new AP everyone has suggested
will solve the issue and I'll know next week.

I use both iPeng and SqueezePad on my iPad.
SqueezeCommander on my Android phone.
SqueezeBox Server web interface on my media center PC (because I don't
know of anything else).
For me, SqueezeCommander wins hands down when it comes to synching a
large number of players.

discovered is that my HTPC's wireless Adesso
keyboard lags big time when the players are streaming. Not sure if
I'll be able to fix that unless it's a channel conflict but, I've
always heard never use a channel for an AP other than 1, 6 or 11.
Thoughts?

I downloaded the iPad app and it seems better than the android version.
However, it won't stop me from using iPeng/SqueezePad. I can see where
newer users might skip spending a few dollars for the third party apps
though... shame.

This is on a Google Nexus One with Android 2.3.
Looks promising though.
Just purchased and installed and I'm have the same problem on a Samsung
Captivate with custom 2.2 paragon rom. It retrieves players and works,
but no album art and the can't connect message remains on.

Trying to install LMS on a MediaSmart 485ex (WHS) and I'm getting the
error unable to start service squeezesvc. Only option is to retry or
cancel. Retry doesn't help and cancel aborts the install. Any idea?

If I remote in and attempt to start manually it starts and then stops
immediately. I've never had problems installing any other SqueezeBox

After completely deleting and re-installing LMS on my WHS it only picks
up about 1/4 of my total tracks. I've re-scanned several times and get

I figured this out. I ran the rescan from the tray app and it logged the
offending directory. Not sure what the difference is but it looks like
it's fixed.

to manually remove the old add-in via registry edit and
manually delete the SqueezeBox folders under app data and progam files.
Then and only then was I able to get 7.7 installed. My guess is that
when I uninstalled 7.6.2 it didn't succeed and therefore the 7.7
install was having troubles.
