*NOT* protocol/standard valid,
then dnsmasq sends a DHCP NAK with Dst: macX (e.g. similar to the
different cases when dnsmasq sends NAK with option Message wrong
network, whatever)
Is that possible?
Thanks

: unfortunately when that happens the client hangs forever
waiting for the DHCP answer (only workaround is reboot).
Now, I want to force dnsmasq to answer NAK to every wrong/bugged DHCP
request incoming (instead of keeping silent).
Thanks.

How would I set Wireshark, to sniff out those 2 mysterious UDP frame?

Maybe are generated by Dnsmasq, as some kind of alternate DNS response?
Maybe are generated by gateway linux kernel, as some kind of standard

Maybe are generated by the client software/web browser?

Hi All :)
long time ago I shared with you an issue regarding dnsmasq used on
wireless nets.
Finally I believe I found a possible cause for that.
By now I have been testing using many different devices and Os, windows
clients, linux, android, windows phones, and so on.
Well, what I found is that, th

if its not mysite1 or mysite2, all the rest goes to 192.168.0.1 :)

Hi Albert :) you didnt mention last time you had a wifi based
configuration too, nice to know! :)
To answer John, if I can try to help, yes, your requirement looks little
unclear to me too.. FYI, Im "playing" too with a wifi loopback bridge
project, and its indeed not very easy to implement from sc

Hi :) Im having a strange issue here with DHCP/ARP I cant solve..
DHCP works good, it receives a REQ from client MAC asking the preferred
ip, e.g. 192.168.0.10, and DHCP answers correctly ACK..
But after that, my client keeps asking the following ARP requests to
broadcast: "Who has 192.168.0.10? Te

Hi :) I searched the man page but didnt find any mention to LLMNR.. my
Windows7 client keeps sending queries to LLMNR, but they all stay
unanswered.. I dont have others dns servers, Im in the "authoritative"

So wanted to ask, how can I configure dnsmasq to answer also LLMNR
queries ( 224.0.0.

I was looking at an old trace, apologies..
Going to trash dhcpd and that dirty disgusting wtf dnsspoof.. ;)

Yes, it did the trick, worked at first shot :)
Still remains that "silence" after DHCP "requests" without previous
"discover".. really unpleasant..
Probably its not 100% protocol compliant, but I see also from dhcpd, its
common behaviour to accept DHCP requests from "returning" clients..
Maybe impl
