What is dbhier.mod?
That's one of the modules of the DTD, which defines elements for the
document hierarchy (book, chapter, etc.). See part about DTD
customisation in DocBook-TDG for this type of info.

No, in reading the XSL stylesheets it seems they don't
support the areaspec element for callouts in
imageobjectco. Neither for HTML nor FO output. Areaspec
is only supported in programlistingco and screenco for
callouts in text displays.
Hmm that's a shame. I'll have to have a close look

Hi,
after looking through docbook, it seemed to me that there is no way of placing a link
behind an image, defined through a mediaobject/imageobject/imagedata.
Am i missing something or is this a feature not present in the current version of
docbook?

I think the hhk generation is based on indexterm. You can then use
primary and secondary to define whether it is a keyword or a
sub-keyword.
Make sure that the reference will be to the topic level (.html), not
to an anchor (.html#anchorid), as that created some unexpected
problems in chm.

Hi all,
I have 2 requests :
1/ I want to obtain in my PDF output all figure elements
contained inside a box with small margin. I use Docbook XSL Stylesheet
1.57.0 and FOP 0.24.
I think to use a personnal stylesheet but I wonder if a confguration
option is possible.
I'm not at all familiar with

Hi list,
I would like to get some feedback on how others actually write their
documents. And I don't mean those with one or two DocBook documents, but
those with tons of them.
Of special interest is: how do you handle stuff that reappears like
biblioentries, glossary, quotes, about the author.

Catalogs(XML syntax catalog files)? There's no problems using
SGML_CATALOG_FILES with TR9401:1997 syntax.

Hi Arno,
Doesn't the use of xinclude make the writing hard? Like I write chapter
one and want to reference chapter two. My editor would have to resolve
the xlink in order to validate that link. It can't do that, so I would
have to switch the editor?
