Re: [DQSD-Users] Error Hotkey registration failed?
Charlie, Thanks for the solution report... I think we should get that into the FAQ, if DQSD routinely collides with OneNote. I'll add it, time permitted. Cheers, - Kim Charlie Russel wrote: Got it in one, Monty, thanks! Changed OneNote to autostart for this particular project I'm on that I'm using it a lot for. And it got itself loaded before DQSD got there. I only saw it after the crash, since that was the first reboot after the change to OneNote. So I changed the hotkey to Win-Q for QuickSearch in preferences.js, and all is well and happy. --- This SF.Net email is sponsored by: New Crystal Reports XI. Shawn, Thanks for the additional apps, I had no idea. I've updated the FAQ, item 1.7. It'll propagate to the public site any time... Re: [DQSD-Users] Error Hotkey registration failed?
Did you have to reinstall XP? is so, did you install a program the use hot keys before you installed DQSD? If two different programs try to use the same hotkeys you will get that error. I haven't had this problem with DQSD but I have with other programs. Rev. After a system crash yesterday, I am now getting an IE error message when I enable DQSD: There was a problem initializing the enhanced keyboard support - some key combinations and hotkeys may not work (Error: 'Hotkey registration failed') System is Windows XP Pro SP2. Error occurs after doing the usual SP2 clicking to enable DQSD. I tried re-installing 3191, but that doesn't seem to have solved anything. Arrow up through the previous searches works fine, but it's now strictly one-way -- you can't arrow down if you up-arrow one too far. RE: [DQSD-Users] Error Hotkey registration failed?
Did you have to reinstall XP? is so, did you install a program the use hot keys before you installed DQSD? No and No. No programs were installed or re-installed in the interim. There was a system crash (I've GOT to get a new DVD recorder, this one stinks) and when it came back up, the problem was there. --- This SF.Net email is sponsored by: New Crystal Reports XI. Monty Scroggins delicately suggests RTFM... I _think_here have been posts about this problem in the past. I can't remember what the problem/fix was.. Can you go to the list archive and search around? You might find some info that will help.. http://www.mail-archive.com/dqsd-users@lists.sourceforge.net/ Got it in one, Monty, thanks!
