Hello,
I want to move a dspace sub community to another sub community.
What will be the right way of doing this. So far I Have done moving
collections from one community to
another using sql command.
Thanks
Sisay.
Dear all,
How can I use both metadata and file for specific communities/collections?
I.e., I would like to use xmlui.theme.mirage.item-list.emphasis=metadata
for collections composed of journal articles while
xmlui.theme.mirage.item-list.emphasis=file for communities/collections
composed of images
DSpace Tech List,
In further pursuit of exporting and importing data between two dspace
instances, I have a somewhat more advanced question that I'm seeking help
with. I'm running into a problem where an error is being thrown, letting me
know that certain epersons already exist within the instance
Dspace works fine with institutional SSO systems.
Locally we use Shibboleth to do SSO, so there is an example that works :-)
I'm sure CAS, pub-cookie, cosign etc would be similar..
As to incommon member.. I don't see them on the participants page.

Hi all,
For every collection in our repository (running DSpace 1.7.2), I've set up
an Accept-Reject-Edit-Metadata group, in which I'm the only user. I've
done this so that the other five people in the Administrator group don't
get inundated with "You have a new task" emails.
But this means they c
Hi Zico,
DSpace supports Shibboleth authentication as a form of SSO. DSpace also
provides many other Authentication plugins out of the box, and allows
you to build your own plugin as needed (via Java).
More on DSpace's Authentication Plugins is available at:

Hi Patrick,
I'm going to work on the upgrade to 1.7.2 , unfortunately several
configurations of the Dspace are far from correctly. But I'm going to update
the info about.

Hi,
I am just curious about one issue. Is it possible to take DSpace under SSO
system?
Is there anyone of you, who already accomplish this?
My another question is: Is DSpace InCommon member?

Hi Miguel,
Since I've been working on this recently I thought I'd take a look and see
what I could find. I went to the dspace wiki and specifically went to the
online documentation for version 1.5.2 at the following address:

Hi Henry:
DSpace generally provides access to its assets only by returning the files.
However, modern browsers are generally quite good at presenting/rendering PDFs,
so if this not happening, you should make sure that the Bitstream format (and
associated mime-type) are correct for your files.

Hey everyone!
I have the 1.5.2 version of Dspace (Old Production Server), I need to make a

Hey Tim,
Thanks so much for your help with those issues. I had the notion that there
was some sort of configuration to do that I was missing but wasn't really
sure where to start (other than my searching around in DEBUG level log
files). I really appreciate the info, this should definitely get me
Hi Patrick,
It looks like you may have two separate (seemingly unrelated) issues
here. At a glance both look to be easy to resolve.

Clive,
Sounds like it's likely the bitstream was marked for deletion (When it's
marked for deletion its bundle2bitstream table entry is removed).
You should be able to tell by looking at its entry in the 'bitstream'
table and looking at the 'deleted' column. If 'deleted=TRUE', then this

There are some alternatives to do that, but in general, you need to
create a directory structure with the pdf files and the metadata
packaged in predefined formats, since the batch metadata-import tool
can't import files.
