Yes, Mark, that's correct.

Thanks, helix. My memory of the exact error wording wasn't as good as I
thought! :)
In my experience the Export Metadata link directly downloads a CSV
file; I don't see My Exports...?
I'll try to replicate this experiment on demo.dspace.org.
Thanks,
Alan

What is the error message or the complete stack trace of the error?
You can usually find it in the

Responding to myself here,
It seems that you must be a super admin in order to export meta data
from a collection. ie, community- and collection-level admins cannot
export metadata from their communities / collections unless they are
also top-level admins.

Hi Alan,
I admit I did only a single test on demo where I exported a community using
the community admin's account, but the test was successful, as you can
still see when you look at that account's My Exports.
I used the dspacedemo+commad...@gmail.com account to export the following

Hi Jose,
If you've fixed this problem locally, could you submit a JIRA ticket or
GitHub pull request describing how to fix this bug?
It'd be nice to get this fix into the next version of DSpace, as others
will surely appreciate it.
Thanks,

Hi,
I just installed DSpace 3.1 and customized input-forms.xml to suite the
requirement.
The modified form displays properly on step 1 of item submission, however
when clicked 'next' to proceed, it throws error as below: -
java.sql.SQLException: bad_dublin_core schema=iit, department null
Hi Abishek,
did you create your iit schema (in Metadata Registry while logged in as
Admin) before you made the changes to input forms? From the message it
seems the schema doesn't exist. Also make sure to add any metadata fields
into that schema that you wish to use them in your input forms.
Did you make your change in
your-source-directory/dspace/modules/jspui/src/main/webapp/layout/header-default.jsp
before you did mvn and ant commands? (Make sure it's header-default.jsp,
not header.default.jsp.)
If so, look at
Yes, it's 1.5.2 and it uses the log files.
I'll take a look. Thanks!

It's so easy that it's probably not even documented.
1) log in as site administrator
2) go to Administrative - Registries - Metadata
3) fill in Namespace (arbitrary URL) and Name (iit), click Add new
schema
4) open the newly added schema
5) into Field Name: type your element and qualifier and
I know to add metadata to search field but
how can we add new search field in dspace
