We are on DSpace 1.8 using XMLUI.

Hi All
For SUNScholar: http://scholar.sun.ac.za we enabled RSS feeds with DSpace

That was the last time I checked that they worked.

I cannot say if they worked when we upgraded from 1.6.2 to

Hello Peter,
I've successfully used the XSL code in your example to add links and icons
for syndication feeds in our DSpace 1.7.2 repository. Could you share any

Hi Tim,
Sure, sounds reasonable. I had to follow up with Claire off-list to help her
integrate the patch.
On a somewhat related topic, the feed from one of our DSpace collections is
now being fed into our University's iTunes U.

Hi Claire,
The RSS feed's are available in the DRI for a theme to use.
http://demo.dspace.org/xmlui/DRI/
(Look at the bottom:
dri:document/dri:meta/dri:pageMeta/dri:metadata[@element='feed'])
So, a little addition to your theme's XSL will give you links to the
available RSS feeds.

Dorothea,
I believe that's just how the RSS functionality "works". You can
obviously configure the number of items displayed in your RSS feed (in
dspace.cfg: webui.feed.items)
"webui.feed.items" corresponds to the number of recent submissions
you'll see in the feed.
So, if you suddenly load
I have the RSS feed for the entire repository in my feedreader. It
doesn't seem to pick up anything batch-imported.
Bug? Feature? Problem in the local install? Anybody else noticed this?
