Hi All
I have upgraded our production repository from 1.5.2 to 1.6.1, my only
concern is a search function sometimes when I typed a key word expecting
certain results I just get nothing, is there any way I can improve my
DSpace search feature.

Lewatle

Hi,
We are testing dspace 1.6. And the media filter does not look to handle
some MS document formats. I'm allergic to this kind of format. But in a
production env, several users will submit them. Does exist a way to add
a minimalistic index about them ?
Best regards,

Hello,
I have Dspace 1.5.2 installed along with Manakin (/xmlui). There are bugs on
the search.
In DSpace default setting, http://184.73.243.18:8080/jspui/ both “search” and
“advanced search” do not work for Persian characters. For example,

Susan,
I'm curious about this. What is the difference between DSpace versions,
Vika?
Don't actually know. I came into the project at 1.5.2. There's a bunch of
information here, though:

Hello,
I added volumenumber to the metadata for some items I have. I set it to 147
in all case (more data to follow). But when I search for volume number using
volumenumber:147 it returns no results. This is in spite of adding the
index to dspace.cfg and doing a reindex. What am I doing wrong
terms.
Cheers, Robin.
