when i tx on Yaesu FT 840 digital readout becomes tottaly blank no power out
put and on leving the PTT it appears again and receiving the stations. What

You could try pouring some Distilled Water over the same area
and then let it air dry. A hair drier may speed the drying process,
preferably with either LOW or NO heat.
Naturally this would work best BEFORE the soda dried.
