Yes, real unfortunate thing happened but, this is the case where and when -
I can do nothing. Believe me, I was trying to keep up the P5 as long as
possible and I've managed to run it little bit more than one year but, the
end came unexpectedly and
I see on KK5DO's web page the following announcement:

Ed's got a big signal here in the southern USA this afternoon.
He's peaking S7. Running 50 baud, 21085 mark listening up
at 1730Z 7/4/02 working USA EU.

About 6 months ago, I got a packet TALK message from Bernie, W3UR. He was
in QSO with Ed P5/4L4FN around 21.255 and asked me if I needed a QSO (I
did). Try as I might, Ed could not hear me (single-element antenna and KW

ever RTTY contact. No comments about having already worked him on
another band. As a matter of fact, I already have a card from his manager
for contacts on 10 and 15M SSB. He seemed to enjoy working the RTTY, and

I thought I would just add my own thoughts on the matter:
If you are that worried about the validity of his operation, then DON'T WORK
HIM!
His SSB activity wasn't valid until AFTER he started on that mode,
I thought ED was a SSB only operation.
Is that him on RTTY or a Slim?

At the present time, The ARRL, is only accepting his SSB QSL's. That may

I have just finished sifting thru the multitude of emails relating to
P5.
To say the least I must say some of the comments amazed me and then some
shocked me.
To start making a multitude of comments here like may others would
obviously be a waste of time. Surely the ARRL is the place to be seen

Why would the ARRL have a dxcc entity,if no one is going to be allowed to
transmit?The P5/4L station has been working for a while,but isnt even
considered for DXCC credit for lack of documentation.Well,if this is
true,take P5 off the list.Simple.
So far it´s off. We have to wait until 11/3. but Ed 4L4FN has not come up whith all
required paper so it might be hard one.
