Just as the screen is fading the login screen pops up and the fading
immediately stops and the screen goes back to full brightness.
Even though the Brightness Lock settings are set to Turn screen
off when inactive for 5 minutes the screen does not turn off after
this.

On a Galaxy Nexus it was terrible. On a Nexus 4 it is much better, but
both the slider and the emitted brightness still lag about half a second

python-indicate not showing up in message indictor

libindicate has been deprecated in favor of libmessaging-menu in Quantal
(12.10), becasue we couldn't use libindicate on the phone. Porting to
libmessaging-menu is fairly simple. Let me know if you need any
pointers.
Note that this might change again when we switch to Unity8, which will
most
what is this fixed in? I still get it with Unity 7.2.0 and xbmc 13.0.
The only solution is to switch terminals, kill xbmc, then switch back to
the lock screen, click on the indicator (which regains focus) and then
click on the password text input.
If this is fixed by another bug then the bugs
is this bug still valid in 4.2.x branch?
if yes, please move it from mab4.1 to mab 4.2 list since 4.1.x is EOL

After upgrading to 14.04 I am more affected by this bug than before:
network-manager does not wake up properly after hibernation.
With 13.10 this might only happen when I was using overriding the METHOD to
METHOD=suspend_hybrid for METHOD=suspend.

I think the issue here is that since users on the Terminal server are
authenticated with sssd/ldap the client images need to be able to
authenticate as well.
As a temporary work around I have installed xscreensaver and sssd. With
the same sssd.conf from the server, the xscreensaver lock works
